This line is being offered as a complete line, (minus the IQF freezer and metal detection) and is not offered as individual pieces.   Output of this line achieved a maximum processing rate of 10,000 lbs. per hour of frozen IQF ¼” diced spinach, with a sustainable rate of 8,000 lbs. per hour of frozen IQF ¼” diced spinach.   Average recovery was consistently above 85%

This spinach line process flow is as follows:

1.           Receive field cut spinach in a walking floor trailer

2.           Walk/transfer spinach on to a receiving/even flow conveyor to loosen product from compaction during hauling and regulate process line flow.

3.           Elevate to dry reel

4.           Tumble in dry reel to loosen product further and shake out small items

5.           Transfer to heavy object removal / air cleaner

6.           Both heavy object removal and light object removal are achieved in the large volume air cleaner

7.           6 person inspection conveyor for removal of EVM, foreign objects, and defects, etc.

8.           W-washer. Hot water wash for cleaning and pre-blanch wilting

9.           Flume blancher.  Approximately 500 gpm of recirculating +165 degree F hot water in 240 feet of 10” lidded flume yields 1 minute 10 seconds of blanch time. Blancher validation is attached.

10.         Blanch to chill transfer conveyor for hot water separation

11.         Hot water cleaning reel, hot water collection tank, recirculation pump, and live steam injector with controller for recirculation and reheating of flume blanching water

12.         Chilled water flume. Approximately 500 gpm of 36 degree F water in 280 feet of 10” flume to chill product to 42 degree F or below

13.         Chill water separation conveyor with roller press. Used for chill water separation and final inspection before chopping 

14.         Chilled water collection tank, recirculation pump, cleaning reel (not included in equipment list), and 24 plate water chiller with secondary recirculation pump for recirculation and chilling of chill flume water

15.         Two Urschel model J choppers with change parts for various cut sizes

16.         Product pump after chopping to distribution hopper feeding the IQF freezer

17.         Distribution hopper and conveyor with roller presses to feed IQF (IQF freezer and metal detector not included)

18.         After freeze cluster buster to reduce size of any clumping that may take place in the freezing process

Equipment is listed in an “as is” condition and loaded, at seller’s expense, on customer’s truck
